Today is the day.

Today, D and I register for the Houston Marathon.

Then we cross our fingers and duck tape them that way until August when we find out if we get to run it or not.

It’s a lottery this year.

We want to run it so badly.

If you think about it today, shoot up a prayer for us to get in.  Truth be told, the odds really aren’t that good, so we’ll take all the help we can get.

Then cross your fingers, rub your rabbits foot, and yell “NO WHAMMY!” or whatever you think may help.

I’ll let you know the verdict on August 17th.

Dear Lance, Kiss My Grits.

The time has come you guys! Devin, Chad, Patrick, and who else? are racing Lance Armstrong (not Neil Armstrong, Lisa) on Sunday morning! It should be a pretty big deal- lots of vendors, raffles and prizes, oh and the bike race. The gun goes bang at 7:30am on Sunday, so if you’re awake for whatever reason, please pray for safe racing for all of them!! I spend enough time in hospitals during the week; it’s not how I want to spend my weekend.

We are headed to Wimberley, TX tonight for some relaxing, eating, shopping (SAN MARCOS OUTLETS, WHAT?!), more eating with friends, and some racing in the most beautiful part of Texas! Dear God, please let us move there. Oh what? Lance’s ranch is for sale?? How convenient.

I am so thankful for this weekend. This week has been full of disappointment, hard times at work, car troubles leaving us in the parking lot for eternity, and bad outfits. I feel like I had bad outfits all week.
