Disappointment

Yesterday our pastor said this:

“God closes doors all the time…and what is that saying? When God closes a door, he opens a window? Doesn’t that mean you get into the house anyway? That’s not how it works!”

How did I know He was preparing me for today?

Today. God closed a big fat delicious amazing door for me. A door I was so sure he would prop open and let me phoebe-run through.

I feel stuck wondering what I’m supposed to do

And I am disappointed.

but

I do not want something God doesn’t want me to have.

I do not want something God doesn’t want me to have.

Perhaps my character is still being molded.

Character creates a Calling and a calling creates Clarity.

And now I will go do what I always do when there’s a downer in my day.
